I am so excited to be sharing with you today a review and giveaway of the Invisible Tails Series by Davy Liu! The Invisible Tails Series consists of five remarkable books that retell Bible stories from the perspective of the animals in those stories. This series is an excellent collection of books that you will want to add to your home library!

Invisible Tails Series

The five books that are currently in the Invisible Tails Series are:

  • Royal Feast (Daniel and the Lion’s Den)
  • Enchanted Tree (Garden of Eden)
  • Fire Fish (parting of the Red Sea)
  • Jordan’s Guest (Jesus entering Jeresulam on the donkey)
  • Giant Leaf (Noah’s Ark)

The five stories are all retellings of some of the most beloved children’s Bible stories.  However, I guarantee you that you have never before read one that has been told in this way.  All of the stories are told from the animals distinguishing point of view. Think about the stories from the Bible that include animals; there are so many!  I will highlight a couple of my favorites from the Invisible Tails Series!

Jordan’s Guest

In Jordan’s Guest, Jordan is the donkey who gave Jesus a ride into Jeresualm.  However, the story starts with other animals making fun of Jordan because he isn’t special, and he doesn’t have an important job.  The cows and goats give milk, and the sheep gives wool, but what significant role does the donkey do? In comes Jesus and his needing a donkey to ride into town on!  The story continues through Jesus’ death and resurrection and in the end, Jordan learns the invaluable truth that,

“Each one of us has an important purpose. Even if it is small.”

Enchanted Tree

The Enchanted Tree is a beautiful depiction of the events that occurred in the Garden of Eden. Octavia, a platypus, narrates the story of Adam naming the animals and then being put into a deep sleep. She describes what happens when Eve (the beautiful two-feeter) eats the fruit from the enchanted tree and the consequences that followed.

All five stories uniquely share the biblical story in a fictional way, yet preserves the integrity of the story. My kids have enjoyed reading these books and looking at the artistry that is on every page. They are truly a work of art and Davy is using his God-given gifts to share the message of Christ.  How could you not want these books in your home?
