Today, I just want to share how much I love supporting my kids in their endeavors. There is no scripture jumping out at me as supporting me in this as being a way to Live the Full Life; however, I can tell you that nothing gives me more joy than being my kids biggest fan!
This morning, I was out at the soccer fields in the pouring rain cheering my boys playing soccer, and as I am writing this, I am sitting in our church lobby as one of my daughters prepares to dance in our church service in a bit.
At times, I feel like I don’t have my own life because I am running this kid here and that kid there, but in all honesty, I love supporting my kids in what they love. Watching them try new things and excel gives me abundant joy. This morning my older son’s soccer team was short players so they asked his younger brother if he would play with him. My 5-year-old was out there running with 7 – 9-year-olds and was giving it all he had. It was so awesome to see him have an assist to one of his brother’s goals.
Neither soccer or ballet were my sports growing up – but they are for sure my thing as a mom!
