I have never been a big bucket list person. I mean, I can conjure up a few ideas of things I would like to do, but I don’t have a numbered list written down. It is not something that I think about daily or even weekly to see where I am at or what I need to do to accomplish something. I am a list person, however, so if I were to do something that is bucket list item worthy, you better believe I mentally add that to my list so I can check it off – like that time I ran a marathon.
I am linking up with Mrs. Disciple for her #FridayFive, be sure to check it out. She has an awesome list. So what is on my mental bucket list…
I am not a huge TV person, but I do love meeting people who are on TV or movies. Right now, I would have to say attending a taping of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon would be on my list. There was a time in my life when I watched Saturday Night Live regularly, and I wanted to go to a taping, and it never happened. Even though Jimmy is on past my bedtime, I do watch several clips of his a week, and I just appreciate his humor so much. He is one talented guy. I would love to attend a taping of his show.
Traveling would take up many items on a bucket list. There are so many places I want to see and experience. Without question, my #1 bucket list item would be staying in a beach hut over the water in Bora Bora. This. This is my #1.
Another place I want to travel to is Europe. There is so much I want to see there. We have always talked about how we would love to live there for a year or two if given the opportunity. Being that we homeschool, I would love to experience life internationally for a year or so. Unfortunately, we most likely won’t have that opportunity.
My 3rd travel bucket list is to own an RV and travel the US. I tell my kids all the time that when they are grown and married, that I am just going to travel in my RV and visit each of them. They think I am kidding. I would love to have an RV and travel now, though. Not forever, but if Jeff had the ability to work on the road, I would love for us to take a year and travel the US as a family and see everything.
Summer Bucket List
Lastly, this bucket list post wouldn’t be complete without mentioning my Summer Bucket List that we do with our kids every summer. Now, this is something that is up in our house, and it is something that we look at every day. It helps keep us accountable. We all help contribute ideas to the list, as well as some staples that we put on there every year. We just made this summer’s board this week. Here is what our board looks like this year.
This might be my favorite thing on it. My 4-year-old came up with it on his own. His excitement when he said this was just pure joy. This boy has grown so much in the past year that he amazes me. Last summer, he would not have wanted to pet an animal. I can’t wait to complete this one.
Also, a few weeks ago I created a list of Summer Bucket List ideas, so check that out.
What is on your bucket list??
