The Adventures Of Adam Raccoon

The Adventures of Adam Raccoon is an eight-book series about Adam Raccoon (obviously), his best friend King Aren, and the many adventures that occur in Master’s Wood. The books are high-quality, and the animation is outstanding. The Christian faith was displayed throughout the stories, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them to my kids. My boys especially loved just looking at the illustrations after I was finished reading. They would look at the books and point out things to show each other.

I mean seriously — look at those illustrations. They are absolutely stunning and each of the eight books are filled with them!!!

The Series Contains:

  • The King’s Big Dinner
  • Lost Woods
  • The Mighty Giant
  • The Flying Machine
  • Race to Victory Mountain
  • Forever Falls
  • The Circus Master
  • Bully Garumph

All of the books are wonderful and filled with positive messages. I couldn’t pick a favorite if I had to. Blake, however, really liked King Aren. Since King Aren was on the cover of The King’s Big Dinner, that one was his favorite. (I see a raccoon costume purchase in my near future so some imaginative role-playing can happen with the boys!)

The books are filled with inspirational messages that will encourage your children and build them up. For instance, in Race to Victory Mountain King Aren is helping a turtle tie his shoe before the start of the race and imparts this wisdom:

What counts is finishing the race. Everyone who stays on course and doesn’t quit will win.

What kid doesn’t need the encouragement to not quit?! The Adventures of Adam Raccoon series provide sweet glimpses of how immensely God loves us and how he loves the children who will be hearing these stories. Every time I read one of them, I was reminded how big God’s love is for me! What more could you possibly ask for in a children’s book?
