I had the wonderful blessing of being on Lara Casey’s Launch Team for her new book, Cultivate A Grace-Filled Guide to Growing an Intentional Life. Being a fan of Lara’s work, I was so excited about the opportunity, and I am just as excited to share with you what I learned. Are you ready to cultivate the life you want?

Are You Ready To Cultivate The Life You Want?
I am so excited to tell you about a new book that was just released yesterday, Cultivate A Grace-Filled Guide to Growing an Intentional Life. Cultivate is the brainchild of Lara Casey the author of Make It Happen and the mastermind of Powersheets.
Having read Make It Happen and being a Powersheets user, I knew I wanted to read and help launch Cultivate. Cultivate is not a 24-hour read. It is similar to Make It Happen in that you need to process what you are learning, evaluate, and make changes as needed.
Do You Garden?
When I started reading and realized that Cultivate has a gardening theme, I was afraid I wouldn’t connect with it. WRONG! By chapter two, I had to remind myself that I dislike gardening and the desire that was bubbling up in me to start gardening was insane. The point though is when someone is passionate about something, their passion becomes contagious. Lara is very passionate about gardening! Although I am not a gardener I thoroughly enjoyed her real-life stories about her struggles and successes with gardening. The metaphors from dreams planted, and soil transformations, to slow growth, apply to anyone’s life.
Just like gardening, don’t we all encounter struggles and successes in life? That is what Cultivate is about. Being intentional with our life doesn’t exclude us from having struggles. However, it helps us to handle the struggles with a greater perspective.
There are so many things I underlined and wrote down while reading this book. It is full of “cultivate it” questions that are both challenging and reflective in nature. Lara’s story is one of inspiration and encouragement. If you find yourself tired and frustrated with the way life is, I can not recommend Cultivate enough.
Cultivating an intentional life means living differently than the rest of the world. (Lara Casey, Cultivate)
