A Call For Us To Listen and Love

As you know, launch teams are my jam. I very much enjoy the process and the excitement that being on a launch team provides. This post is inspired by my recent participation on the launch team for Listen Love Repeat by Karen Ehman.

A Call For Us to Listen and Love

This launch team was my first introduction to Karen Ehman. Although Karen is a New York Times best-selling author, I regrettably had never read her words before. Let me start by saying, some launch teams I do, are blah. They are not managed properly, or the author does not invest in the team, and as a member, you don’t feel valued for what you are doing. However, my experience with the Listen Love Repeat Launch Team was the complete opposite of that. The team was managed amazingly, and Karen was so invested in the launch team, it made being a part of the team such a joy. Karen would do weekly Facebook live videos on the team page, and she would go into more detail about what led her to write a particular story, and on more than one occasion, she was moved to tears. I’m telling you — this woman lives what she writes and it is beautiful!!

Ok, so more about the book, right? The tagline for the book is “Other-centered living in a self-centered world.” I think we can all agree that our world needs more of this, yes? From chapters that call us to: listen for heart-drops, notice the necessary people in our lives, live a life of welcome, and love the hard-to-love — it is full of inspiration and simple tips and ideas on how we can better listen and love those around us. Here is the book trailer and you can hear more from Karen about the heart of this book.

The scripture that this book is based on is Matthew 5:16. When Karen writes about listening and loving others, it is not for our credit so we can feel good about ourselves. It is to glorify God – plain and simple.

A constant phrase used in our home is “We take the time to love our people.” This sounds like a book that would fit right in our family! Thanks for sharing!

Loved this! The whole idea of listen love and repeat. It’s so simple yet so important. “Other-centered living in a self-centered world.” That statement is so powerful. Truly resonated with me. I love this call to be reminded to put someone else before ourselves throughout our day. even in the little things. What a blessing.
