5 Blogs You Need To Be Reading

I am a blogger; I write words here on the internet for all to read. However, I am also a reader, and I enjoy reading books as well as other blogger’s words. Today I am sharing with you 5 Blogs You Need To Be Reading.

5 Blogs You Need To Be Reading

The Glorious Table

You may have heard me mention The Glorious Table before, as I am a contributor there. The Glorious Table publishes blogs six days a week from a variety of talented writers. I have come to know several of the writers via online as well as the people who run the blog and they are all fantastic! Also, the consistent quality that is produced daily is something you do not want to miss. It always encourages me when I read one of their posts. It is a great way to start the day!

Katy Epling

Katy is a For The Love sister that I met in person in Buda, TX a couple of years ago.  We have remained online friends and usually connect through Voxer. Katy writes about motherhood and life and particularly about mothering her son who has Down syndrome. One of my favorite posts of Katy’s was one that included tips for how to talk to your kids about disabilities. You can read her words here.

Search For The Simple

I met Lindsay, the writer behind Search for the Simple less than a year ago. However, it feels like I have known her for my whole time here in Michigan. We met online through The Glorious Table and discovered we lived less than 20 minutes apart. Needless to say, as a fellow blogger and homeschooling mom, I immediately made her be friends with me. I love her writing and the vulnerability that she allows to come out in her words. She is brave, and I am always refreshed after reading her words.

Jen Hatmaker

We all know by now that I am a huge fan of Jen Hatmaker. I was originally introduced to her from a friend who attended one of her seminars at a MOPS convention years ago. I read her books, “7” and “Interrupted” and then started following her online.  My kids don’t go to school, and I found her “Worst End Of School Year Mom Ever” post to be one of the funniest things I had read. I had the privilege to help launch “For the Love” and am currently on the “Of Mess and Moxie” launch team. Jen doesn’t write on her blog a ton, but when she does, it is gold.  She also posted a picture of me on her Instagram, so I think that means that I am her BFF.

Mrs. Disciple

Kelly at Mrs. Disciple was such an encouragement to me when I started this blog. She answered so many questions and was a cheerleader through the process. She is the host of #FridayFive that I have linked up to multiple times.  Having her and the #FridayFive link-up was instrumental in my beginning days of blogging. Kelly is wrapping up her link-up, and although I am sad to see it go, I am so thankful that she is still writing, now with more intention.  Her tagline of her blog is “Walk with me in the shadow of the cross, ” and that is truly what her words do – they lead you to the cross. If you need some encouragement in your faith or walk with Jesus, be sure to read her words. Thank you, Kelly, for your words, and your love of Jesus – I can’t wait to meet you in person in June.

I am so thankful for the many, many writers that take the time to share their words with the world. It was really hard only naming five blogs because there really are so many that I would recommend.

Thank You

Lastly, THANK YOU, dear reader, for choosing to read my words. I am so very grateful for you and your support!!
